Alliance is a unique and highly competitive program which supports the AYSO player development pathway to the highest level of play. Like Extra, Alliance is a competitive, try-out based program for players/teams who want to play in both internal and external gaming circuits as members of both AYSO and US Youth Soccer or US Club Soccer.
Alliance teams play in the USYS and US Club soccer circuits, specifically Coast Soccer League (CSL) while maintaining the 6 core philosophies of AYSO.
Alliance teams will
- face top club competition each week
- are eligible for the State Cup Club Competition
- are eligible for club tournaments across the US
Although cost to play is higher than EXTRA it is still at a fraction of what legacy club teams charge to play in the same leagues at the same levels. Alliance teams compete in club circuits against club teams.
Tryouts are an extremely selective process, and, unlike club soccer, there are no "B" or "C" teams that play in a less competitive circuit. Only one team is formed in any division competing in.
