Warriors looking for a way to win...
On Sunday afternoon, much like the Bengals, the Pink Warriors had their chances at winning only to let it slip from their fingertips. A tough Carlisle team came to town and took it to the Mirror Image Pink Warriors. A tough, physical team bullied their way through the field on Sunday, handing the Pink Warriors a loss but not without knowing what the Pink Warriors were really about.
It was almost one was watching two different games on Sunday afternoon. The 1st half of play, the Pink Warriors appeared timid and lacking aggresiveness, willing to let the other team to dominate the tempo and time of possession. The 2nd half sparked a different Pink Warrior team, much like a team we haven't seen for a few weeks. The 3rd and 4th quarters, the Pink Warriors came out with passion and intensity that sent a message to Carlisle that they would not go away lightly. They fought for the 50/50's and stepped in the path of the ball handlers while looking for the open pass instead of the one-on-one approach. Coach Darrell was pleased on how his team started to show signs of discipline and was proud of how his team came back to rally against a tough opponent and looks for his team to come out swinging in their season finally on Oct 20th against another Clinton Massey squad.
